What is an Etsy Shop?

An Etsy shop is an online storefront hosted on the Etsy platform where individuals or businesses can sell handmade or vintage items, as well as craft supplies and unique goods.

Etsy is an e-commerce platform that focuses on providing a marketplace for independent sellers, artisans, and crafters to showcase and sell their creations around the world.

How to protect your Etsy Shop

Keeping your Etsy shop secure means protecting your financial interests, preserving consumer trust, complying with legal requirements and maintaining the integrity and continuity of your business operations. Since passwords can be guessed and stolen, it’s important that you add a layer of protection to prevent most attacks from succeeding. This is known as two-factor authentication.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

PYBWhat is 2FA …

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of protection for your online accounts. 2FA asks users to submit a second form of verification in addition to a username and password in order to gain access.

Usually, you may verify this identity using something you own, like a hardware token or a code sent to your mobile phone. Even if someone manages to get your password, 2FA helps prevent unwanted access to your accounts by requiring this extra verification step.
